Before changing career direction, Liz Rivers was an A-grade journalist who brought the amazing world of science into sharp focus. Her stories educated the masses on topics such as species mutation, extinction theory, human bioethics, pandemic prevention and intergalactic travel. In 1994 she left that world and started her own company, which morphed into Awards Absolute.
As well as being Managing Director of Awards Absolute, Liz is a state Chair of Meetings Events Australia (MEA) and is a founding member of one of the International Special Events Society's (ISES) Australian chapters. As a meeting and events professional, she understands implicitly that speakers play a pivotal role in the success of workshops, seminars and conferences.
